HERE ARE SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HERE ARE SOME FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTIONS?

A: Yes, most insurance plans allow us to direct bill (i.e. collect the payment directly from your insurance company).

A: As a courtesy to our patients, we try to submit a pre-approval to your insurance prior to your appointment so that you know exactly which procedures are covered and at what rate. While many insurance providers will provide us with the response, some insurance providers, such as Manulife, only send the response to the patient. So make sure you bring it in to your appointment so we can help you interpret it.

A: Yes, we follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide for all our procedures. We also accept ADSC and Indian Affairs plans.
A: Most insurance plans cover regular visits at 6 month frequency, however some will only cover once every 9 months or 12 months. We can contact most insurance companies on your behalf to find out the frequency of your coverage.
A: While most insurance plans follow the Alberta Dental fee guide, some insurance plans have their own fee guide, which might be lower than the Alberta Fee Guide. For example, some Alberta Blue Cross plans use the previous year’s fee guide. Since we follow the Alberta Fee Guide, if your plans fees are lower, there will be a patient portion despite the 100% coverage.
A: Unless they have concerns earlier, we encourage parents to bring in their child for their first visit 6 months after their first tooth erupts, or around 1 year of age.
A: Your oral health is closely tied to, and impacted by, the health of the rest of your body. Your medical history helps us to best understand you, your habits and any important considerations that need to be considered when planning dental care and treatment.

A: Yes, we perform all types of cosmetic dental procedures including composite bonding, veneers, Invisalign, anterior crowns, and whitening.

I recently had a dental visit with my two children at this new location and we had a great experience! The staff were welcoming and the clinic was immaculate- very modern, open and bright. Dr. Dima Oweis and the dental staff were equally great as they were very patient and comforting with my kids, which created a better experience for them and myself. I would highly recommend this dental practice, especially for families!

I had the chance to be among the clinic's first clients for an overdue cleaning. The team there was very pleasant and inviting, easy to deal with. I booked the day before and they sent me electronic forms to quickly fill at home to save time at the clinic (New Patient). I got there and was already setup to go. I appreciated the clinic being COVID conscious with pre-checks, and handling of equipment. Everything is new and clean and very elegant.
Medically, all went as pre-planned, hygienist knew what I wanted, explained what she needed to do. She was very pleasant and accommodating, X-rays were straight forward and always checked if I was still ok during cleaning. I did not experience any discomfort. I was impressed with the before-and-after pictures of the teeth and how/where the cleaning made a difference. She explained to me what she experienced during the cleaning and where I need to pay more attention or adjust my routines.
I have seen Dr. Dima before for dental work and exams, and as always she is very pleasant and very delicate with her work, perfect and precise - never had an issue. She explains what she does and gives you an honest opinion and advice on what she sees so you can make an informed decision.
